Dog chewing bed sheets?

my dog is constantly chewing the side of my bed and i dont know why. if we put a towel on the side of the bed she'll stop because she doesnt like the feeling of the towel. but then eventually she'll knock off the towel and continue chewing. she's not not putting any holes into the bed but it's getting to be annoying because she wont stop for anything, until she gets too tired to. does anyone know why she's doing this? and how to get her to stop?Dog chewing bed sheets?
There's no deep reason here... she's doing it because she enjoys it. And it's only a matter of time before she starts to do some damage and/or move on to other inappropriate items. Go to your local pet store and buy some Bitter Apple spray. Most dogs do not like the taste, and it will help deter her. Or you could do without the spray and correct her each time she begins to chew on it. By ';correct'; I do not mean physically manhandle her, just a verbal correction (uh-uh, no, phooey, whatever) spoken in a firm tone... no yelling required. This should distract her for even a brief moment and turn eyes on you. Now whether you use the spray or the verbal, the second she stops chewing on your sheets give her an appropriate chew toy and tell her what a good, sweet girl she is. It will take a little time with either method, but she'll get it eventually. And please realize that both methods require direct supervision from you. So if you cannot watch her she should be confined to a crate or other puppy-proof area. Good luck!Dog chewing bed sheets?
Crate train her if she's doing this while you sleep

If she isn't, make her stop. Don't let her continue chewing them until she gets tired. No wonder she keeps doing it, she thinks its okay.

Every time she tries, say no and move her away and give her a chew toy instead.
Try getting her different kinds of bones. Find one she likes and keep buying her thoughs. She will be focused on that so she will probably stop chewing.

Good Luck!
